I'm into this about 6 weeks now and all is going great. I've lost 20 pounds, I'm starting to exercise.. I'm starting to see noticeable results. This is the scary time. Why? Because I feel like things are starting to become routine. I found myself saying.. do I really need to add this or that to MyNetDiary?
Like last night I attended a fundraising event and had to eat dinner there. They had a small spread which included some pasta, salad and bread. I made myself a moderate plate and enjoyed it. When I got home I was tempted to fore go my usual habit of entering my meals into my Blackberry rationalizing that I was well within my daily limit. But... I caught myself and entered the data.
This is the habit that has made me successful. This is the habit I am going to stay with no matter how much success I have. I can't afford to slack off and trust myself. Remember I am an over eater.. I am addicted to eating. I have to remind myself of this every day in order to stay on track. If I start to stray from this.. I will fail and I don't want to fail.

I am so proud of you! You are doing all the right things. Keep it up and before you know it you'll reach your goal! Just don't forget where you are coming from and that you don't want to go back there! That's what I have to do.
ReplyDeletekeep entering the data and lossing the pounds, i have been where you are, you can do it.
ReplyDeleteGood job! Keep track of everything is the key. So many people tell me "I keep track of my calories in my head" but then they can't tell me what they've had that day.
ReplyDeleteWe'll remind you. You are NOT going to fail.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! 20 pounds. That's fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy that you are starting to feel the routine. That's all part of it. I'm looking forward to that point myself.
Don't lose sight of the goal. Keep it up!
Keeping your focus is so very important...I cannot stress that enough. Continuing to track your calories will keep you successful...and great job on being 20 lbs down already!! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
ReplyDeleteKeep going!

Woo hoo! Keep up the great work! I've been going with my daily exercise for about the same amount of time, and it's wonderful to have someone else's journey to follow at the same time!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the 20 pounds down! That's so amazing! Keeping up the healthy habits such as keeping your food journal will ensure you keep losing. Way to go, sounds like you're very aware of what's working and what needs to be cut back. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteGreat job. Just keep doing what you are doing. Giving up is not an option. Just know that. You have to do this.
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to do this, too. This one habit is so helpful! Good for you for recognizing you can't slack on this. When I slack on this, my numbers are horrible. That's awesome you're starting to exercise!
ReplyDeleteway to go, whenever I've struggled it's because I've become complacent and thought I could just guesstimate what I'm eating. Your doing great
ReplyDelete20 pounds is awesome...and good for you not straying from being accountable and tracking your food...I know thats what keeps me on the straight and narrow...I really dont like seeing what I have done wrong written down glaring at me giving me dirty looks...lol...Khris
