Getting Back To Where I Was

Thanks for all the comments and support. Things are going well. I lost 3 pounds this week. 2 more pounds and I'll be back to my low point. Still a long way to go but I feel like I've got things back under control. It's a daily grind. Activity level is higher due to coaching baseball. Last week I wore pedometer and discovered I walked nearly 5,000 steps. That was after coaching one game and one practice in the same day. Thanks to Jimmy Lamb for turning me onto the 10,000 step program. I'll report back as often as I can. With both boys playing travel baseball this summer life is hectic and time is sparse.

Thanks again for the continued support.

  2. Congrats on the 3 pounds weightloss. I started the 10,000 step program, but didn't stick to it. I guess I should get out the pedometer. Keep up the great work.

  4. Congrats on the weightloss. I'm glad you're doing well! I keep going back and forth on getting a pedometer. I wonder if it would be helpful to get me moving outside of the gym?

  6. 10,000 steps is a daily MINIMUM that I am obsessed with! It can be done anywhere, anytime, so no excuses to avoid. With my stride, its about 5 miles. At the beginning of my weight loss journey, I did some research and calculations and found that for my body, 5 miles would burn about 1000 calories. This was on top of a daily burn of about 2500 calories that my body consumed to stay alive. So the two combined could yield 3500 calories burned per day! The pedometer made sure I stayed on track.
