Summer has taken it's toll on my quest to become a thin person. For the few months I haven't counted calories. I've eaten after dinner (late night). These are two deadly sins for a person who is trying to shed fat. I've gained back 8 pounds and feel terrible about it.
On the positive side.. still haven't had any fast food or diet soda. But I'm not proud of my lack of discipline. So I began counting calories again as a first step. I will also make an effort to walk more each day. One step at a time... have to get back on track.

One step at a time works... take a step or two a week, or a day; you choose the pace. If you do,and avoid the backwards steps, all will be well!
ReplyDeleteGood for you. It takes time to get yourself into the frame of mind that's necessary for weight loss. Be proud that you haven't given up. You can do it. You can do anything you want to do.
ReplyDeleteI was JUST thinking about you. Wondering how you were doing. Hadn't seen an update on my blogroll in a while. Glad you're back.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to make a post for you! I am proud of your achievements! Keep going! You are changing your life and making a difference to all those around you! I had no idea the difference I was making when I began my weight loss journey a year ago! I am 38 years old 5'2 and weighed in at 270lbs last July! I have been changing my diet and started exercising last July 09. I have had some struggles along they way but I can tell you it was worth every struggle! Today I am 110lbs lighter weighing in at 160lbs on May 30th. I have a little more to go but I run my first ever 5k in August so I've been training for the past 8.5 weeks to run the whole 3.2 miles or whatever it is. If I can do it YOU CAN TOO. Believe in yourself. I have believed in myself and also have family and friends who support me and God gives me strength every day to get up and DO IT ! My motto is .."If I can do it on my worst day when I feel like doing NOTHING... then I can do IT ANYDAY!!!!
ReplyDeleteHUGS to you!

Never give up my friend...this is too important, you know that. I hope you're keeping it simple and not driving yourself crazy...A calorie budget and daily walking---that's it...of course the mental gymnastics to maintain that consistency is the biggest part--You already know this stuff. Congrats on the no fast food and no pop--very impressive. I still occasionally have fast food---but it's rare, and when I do--it's a well thought out choice. Arby's new Jr Roast Beef Deluxe without mayo is only 210 calories--I've enjoyed some of those recently...but that's about it.
ReplyDeleteAgain--I applaud you for never giving up---I wish you nothing but success my friend, because really---honestly, it's there for the taking...take it and run!

Don't give up!
