Mid Week Update

Doing great with calories this week.. Staying under 1600 each day. Eating good foods. Exercised twice so far and will do it two more times this week.

With baseball season starting soon I'm worried about snack stand resistance. Lots of food landmines there and when I'm rushing to coach an evening game my habit was to eat a few slices of pizza at the snack stand for dinner. I'm going to plan ahead this year and my goal is to not eat any food from the snack bar... we'll maybe coffee but that's a beverage.

  1. I got a problem like this too... well I don't coach baseball and so I'm not prone to the snack bars.... however being the old me whenever I was running low on fuel and need a pick me up I had plans all mapped out. I knew where certain places were so that I could grab some grub really quick on the go..... those foods don't fit into my lifestyle anymore. So I've been trying to make new habits like bringing my own food. Packing snacks. What might work for you too is eat before you go to coach... that way when you smell that divine pizza it's not like you are going to be starving. Have a good one!

  2. Hi! I just found your blog and wanted to say I've enjoyed reading. I just recently started my own blog, only a few posts, and don't have any followers yet. I'm trying to figure it all out. I'm on a similar weight-loss journey and can totally relate to much of what you are saying. The exercise thing - my daughter told me (and hence I read the same online later on) that it takes approximately 22 days in a row of doing something to make it become a habit. When I started exercising I told myself that everyday (secretly not even believing it). I was surprised to discover that right at about 3 weeks of working out I did indeed feel like it was a habit! Now I'm to the point where if I don't spend time working out, I really miss it!! I've only been in on this new lifestyle change since January 10 of this year so about the same time frame as you. Put yourself and exercise FIRST, then prioritize around that. Good luck and I'll definitely be back to your blog!
